Cavatina Singers' Come & Sing Success!!

February 6th, Cavatina Singers hosted a very successful and hugely enjoyable Come and Sing event at All Saints Church, Penarth. The choir`s number was more than doubled when they were joined by forty other singers from around Cardiff and the Vale to sing Vivaldi`s "Gloria". The soloists were soprano, Grace Bermingham and contralto, Sacha Fullerton, both of whom have studied at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. The event was free and during the interval participants were treated to a delicious tea courtesy of the talented bakers in Cavatina Singers. The afternoon rehearsal was followed by a free public concert. The event was topped off with a raffle of some excellent prizes thanks to the generosity of Mint and Mustard Restaurant, Penarth , The Waterloo Tea House, and The Windsor, Penarth.

Cavatina Singers` next concert will be on Saturday, June 11th at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre, Cardiff Bay, when they will be joined by a Swedish choir for the evening. The choir are already learning some Swedish songs under the expert guidance of their Swedish musical director, Jakob Grubbstrom. If you are interested in joining the choir, please get in touch!
